Tom and George in Cameroon

Tom McLeod and George Collins are off to Cameroon to take part in a Medical research project that George has been organising. They'll join Isaac and Claris, who are both Cameroonian. We'll be researching into the prevalence of Tungiasis, an infestation of the "Jigger Flea" (also called sand flea, pig flea, chigoe flea, ...), in rural, North-West Cameroon, with a view to publishing a journal article.

We'll be staying in a house in Ndu, which is north of Bamenda. Isaac will be staying with us and each day we'll visit one of seven villages Ndu, Wowo, Njipnkang, Fuh Mbah, Jirt, Taku, and Ntundip and inspect the feet and bodies of the villagers for the flea, as well as questioning them on various aspects of the disease using interviews and a quesionnaire.
